As an update to their Bell Lap Bar, Salsa's Cowbell 3 bar is reshaped to work better with integrated shift/brake levers. This means that the Cowbell 3 offers a flat transition from bar to lever, therefore increasing comfort. It's made from double-butted 6061 aluminum for sprinting stiffness at a decent weight. The unique feature of this handlebar are the 12-degree flared drops—perfect for cyclocrossers and people who like the extra room to really sprint and climb.

Which Reach and Drop you prefer depends on your hand size, arm length and riding style. If you like what you're riding, simply match it as closely as possible. In general, deeper drops and longer reaches are appropriate for riders with long arms and large hands while narrow drops and short reaches fit smaller riders. Handlebar Width is related to shoulder width. Riders usually prefer a handlebar width equal to the measurement between their shoulder blades, or slightly wider if they climb a lot or ride fast and hard.
